Paul T. Frankl studied architecture in Paris, Berlin, Munich and immigrated to the United States, where he designed several interiors for Helena Rubinstein cosmetics specialist (1870-1965). From 1915 made the sets for the Theatre Guild of New York, and by 1925 he began designing furniture with geometric forms which dubbed skyscrapers (Skyscraper).
