Construction

Waldorf Astoria Hotel was the largest in the world at the time of its completion in 1931. The building is topped by two large towers that reach 191 meters . These towers rise from the twentieth floor of the building, the main body contains most of the 2200 rooms that owns the hotel. The building also has private apartments where they have hosted celebrities from Lucky Luciano to the U.S. president each time you visit the city. The current building occupies the site of two former hotels in the same family. Were invested nothing more and nothing less than $ 42 million to build, beyond the cost of the Empire State Building.

The brick building is done in dark, except for its low, made of granite. The shots are made of bronze, one of the biggest shots made in this material in the city of skyscrapers.
